This section allows you to remove an advertisement that is currently displayed for public viewing on medvert.com.
NOTE-- Although both a currently displayed advertisement and its renewal (which is not yet displayed) will have the same ad ID number, using that ad ID number with this cancellation page will remove only the currently displayed ad; the undisplayed renewal version of the cancelled ad will not be removed.
The following list explains what happens when you remove a currently displayed ad from either a single or multi-ad subscription:
-
Single ad subscriptions -- cancellation of a currently displayed advertisement that does not have a
renewal version stored in the database will simply result in permanent removal of that advertisement.
If you have an undisplayed paid renewal of a currently visible advertisement, cancellation of the currently displayed advertisement will cause the renewal to become visible to the public; you can then either leave the renewal on display or cancel it if desired in the same fashion as its predecessor.
If you have an undisplayed unpaid renewal of a currently visible advertisement, cancellation of the currently displayed advertisement will change the expiry date of that unpaid renewal to 20 business days after your manual cancellation of the displayed version.
- Multi-ad subscriptions -- cancellation of a currently displayed advertisement within a multi-ad
subscription will simply result in the permanent removal of only that particular ad unless it is the last
remaining ad of a completely filled multi-ad subscription from which all other ads have been previously
cancelled (e.g. a ten ad multi-ad subscription that has received the maximum of ten ad submissions over time, and
nine of the total ten ads have previously been cancelled at various times).
In this latter case, removal of the last ad will result in the end of the multi-ad subscription (similar to cancellation of an ad in a single ad subscription resulting in the end of that single ad subscription).
If an undisplayed renewal version of the cancelled multi-ad subscription is stored in the database, it will either have its expiry date adjusted (as in the case of a single ad subscription) if it is unpaid, or it will automatically be ready to accept individual advertisement submissions for immediate display if the renewal has been paid for by the time its preceeding subscription was manually cancelled.
Please note that displayed multi-ad subscriptions cannot be "bulk cancelled" i.e. cannot be cancelled as a whole with all associated advertisements removed in one operation -- only individual ads can be removed from the subscription by the customer.
Enter your login name, password and the advertisement ID (not the subscription or invoice ID) of the ad that you wish to cancel. Advertisement ID numbers can be found using the List Ads section.
